I want therapy to be a safe and comfortable reprieve from the heavyness of what you’re facing. I also want it to feel useful, purposeful, and and informative.
Here’s what you can expect from our work together:
We’ll work to understand your treatment options, as well as the psychological effects of infertility and loss including grief, anxiety, and relationship strain. I can coordinate with your other providers (at your request) to get the whole picture of what you’re facing. You’ll learn evidence based practices to help you more effectively manage stress, anxiety, and decision making. You’ll master strategies to create a stronger sense of self compassion and emotional resiliency.
I am here to listen, validate and explore complex emotions alongside you, without judgement. You’ll have a space to process complex grief and loss, whether the loss of a pregnancy (ies), expected timelines, genetic ties, or the idea of biological parenthood You’ll master strategies to create a stronger sense of self compassion and emotional resiliency
You’ll learn CBT techniques that allow you to recognize and replace unhelpful thoughts and narratives We’ll create a space to practice mindfulness and self regulation to help you manage chronic overwhelm. Together, we’ll identify personalized coping strategies to help you stay grounded through treatment, setbacks, and difficult social interactions.
I can support you in navigating infertility’s impact on romantic relationships. This often includes addressing differences in coping styles between partners and finding ways to support each other. Learning how to comfortable and confidently set healthy boundaries with family, friends, and social situations that may be emotionally triggering.
We’ll dive into what truly matters to you—beyond the outcome of fertility treatments. You’ll feel supported and empowered, able to make informed decisions about next steps (IVF, donor conception, adoption, or a child-free life) Supporting you in cultivating meaning, balance, and emotional resilience no matter what the future holds.
